Dizem Mutluay was born in 1991. After completing her bachelor's and master's degrees in a different field she worked in the business area for a while. Then, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion for drawing.

This led her to start in the Animation and Cartoon Department at Anadolu University. She chose children's books as her primary field of expression because, for her, they represent a space of boundless creativity, a way to showcase the beauty of the world, create art, to gain a deeper understanding of life, and express it.

In her work, she draws inspiration from nature, philosophy, and the rich diversity of different cultures. Her areas of expertise include digital illustration, colored pencils, markers, pastels, watercolor, and mixed media.
